'Space for Labour in Prospective Public Policy Agenda: Dialogue with Political Parties'
held at Regent Plaza, Karachi on May 4, 2012


A half-day-long interactive dialogue between the political parties’ representatives and workers and civil society participants was organized. The series was aimed to strengthen the representation of labour on the agenda of the political parties that are bracing for forthcoming elections. Representatives of mainstream political parties including the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N), the Pakistan Muslim League Functional (PML-F), the Awami National Party (ANP), the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), the Sindh United Party (SUP), the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Awami Tehreek, the Labour Party Pakistan, Awami Party and others participated in the Dialogue and expressed their support and commitment for strengthening their parties programmes and policies on labour.
