(Poetry Recital)
held at Karachi Press Club on May 1, 2012
A Mushaaira was jointly organized by PILER, the Sindh
Employees Social Security Institute (SESSI), and the Karachi Press
Club at the Karachi Press Club on May 1, 2012. The poetry recital
focused on the theme of labour. Presided over by veteran poetess Madam
Fahmida Riaz, the Provincial Minister for Labour Amir Nawab inaugurated
the session. Mahmood Sham, Prof. Saher Ansari, Anwar Shaoor, Imdad
Hussaini, Taj Baluch, Hidayat Baluch, Muslim Shameem, Naseer Soomro,
Saba Ikram, Iqbal Shaheen, Ghaffar Tabasum, Hasan Akbar Kamal , Naqash
Kazmi, Arif Mansoor, Shahida Hassan, Afzal Bela, Javaid Manzar, Amanullah
Afridi, Qaiser Afridi, Saher Imdad, Fatima Hassan, Rakheel Moraye,
Zafar Ali Khan Zafar, Ahmed Solangi, Khalid Moeen, Aqeel Abbas Jafri,
Akhter Saeedi, and Rashid Anwar presented their kalaams paying rich
tribute to the resilience and strength of the workers of Pakistan.
