Profile of Dr. Lal Khan
Lal Khan is Editor of, Asian
Marxist Review and International Secretary of Pakistan Trade Union
Defense Campaign. He was also founder of paper Class Struggle.
Mr. Khan, a proponent of Marxist ideology, led many struggles against
fundamentalism during 1970s and against the dictatorship of Zia-ul-Haq
during 1980s when he was studying at the Nishtar Medical College Multan.
He was arrested and tortured by the dictatorial regime of Zia on account
of leading agitation against his despotic rule. He was forced to flee
and settle in Holland where he continued his studies and remained
an active member of the movement against Zia-ul-Haq.
To his credit are around 28 books which he has written from the Marxist
perspective on wide ranging political and economic issues including
his well known book Pakistan’s Other Story, The 1968-69 Revolution.
